Bikini girl Danni after big break

Danni Hughes could be the next face - and body - of the Gold Coast Swim Fashion Festival.

The 17-year-old from Logan was among 30 hopefuls to meet internationally renowned model scout Thomas Gillmann from Chic Management, who flew in from Sydney last weekend to meet the girls.

The top 20 girls in the Sunseeker Swim Model competition from across southeast Queensland will be announced today, with the winner crowned at the festival's first show on November 28 at the Marriott Resort.

Ms Hughes said making the top 20 would allow her to make invaluable connections.

"I don't really have a favourite model. I just admire healthy models, especially Victoria's Secret models who live a healthy lifestyle," she said.

"If the opportunity ever comes to model with them I will definitely take it."

Mr Gillmann said he was impressed with the Coast models.

"I've been in Australia for three years and we find amazing-looking girls in Queensland," he said.

Tickets for the Sunseeker Swim Model competition finals are now on sale from goldcoastswimfashionfestival.com.au
